DG Arts Fest presents... London Soloists Ensemble

Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival are delighted to partner with Greyfriars
Concerts to present a series of four concerts by the London Soloists Ensemble next
month.

Greyfriars Concerts is a series of professionally directed classical music concerts,
usually delivered in Greyfriars Church in Dumfries. The aim of the series is to offer
the people of Dumfries and its environs, as well as visitors to the area, high quality
musical performance in the authentic, acoustically pleasing and historic building
which is Greyfriars Church.

In May they will feature four different programmes of music, two in Greyfriars, one
in St Andrews Parish Church in Annan and one in Gatehouse Parish Church in
Gatehouse of Fleet, bringing high quality music to two new church venues.

Alex McQuiston from Greyfriars Concerts says : “Being my first year programming
the classical music on behalf of the D&G Arts Festival, I wanted to bring an
ensemble that would be remembered, talked about and inspire the people of
Dumfries and Galloway. The London Soloists ensemble brings together some of the
world’s finest soloists. Performing exciting programmes of Brahms, Faure, Piazzolla,
Ireland, Beethoven and Schubert throughout the region, there really is something for
everyone. Enjoy.”

Peter Renwick of Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival says: “We are delighted to work in
partnership with Alex to bring this very high standard of musicianship to Dumfries and
Galloway. This is one of a series of partnership where we are working with a range of
promoters to realise their ambitions, and adding a whole new aspect to the festival.”
