From Pam Taylor
YES! Young E Citizens for a Sustainable European Coastline
Solway Firth Partnership would like to hear from people aged between 18 and 30 who are interested in a project exploring coastal issues, identifying local actions and communicating sustainability messages using modern technology.  We are looking for volunteers to attend a 3 week campus in France or the UK as well as 2 mentors who will also go to Italy and Greece on 2 training events. All travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the project.

Training workshops:
20-21 May 2013 – Italy: Alba
Environmental communication: How to build an effective information campaign?
30-31 May 2013 – Greece: Athens - Pireaus
Using new technologies for an awareness-raising campaign on the future of Europe’s coastlines

Campuses:
24 August – 14 September – United-Kingdom : Solway Firth
Sustainable development and conservation in the Solway Firth
9-27 September 2013 – France: Côte bleue
Promoting the heritage of the Côte bleue to raise visitor awareness about the future of the coastline

This is a great opportunity for young people from all backgrounds to learn about the wide diversity of European coastal issues and get directly involved in developing new techniques for communication. Please see the attached flyer for more information. If you, or anyone you know, might be interested in taking part please give us a call or drop us an email here.
