New from the Arts Festival

Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival are encouraging a new generation of culture lovers with a range of innovative programming and offers at this year’s Festival.

More into football than theatre? Try On Our Way To Lisbon (or The Italian Job), at Lockerbie Little Theatre on 29 May; a spectacular two man play where Pat Abernethy and Dave Marsden play everything from the players to the commentators and managers. One theatre goer remarked ‘”I have never been to a play before but that was the best night of my life”.

Bringing Opera to a whole new audience, Opera Rox will fuse contemporary songs with an operatic voice, bringing a whole new dimension to the music. Taking place at The Vintage Lounge in Dumfries on 31 May, this is sure to be a packed event.
