Theatre Royal - Deathtrap and Dundrennan - The Red Hourglass

Stuck for something to do this Friday evening? Be stuck no more, This Friday, ie 10th May, 7.30pm at Theatre Royal in Dumfries – sees the arrival of ‘Deathtrap’ by Ira Levin (described as a comedy thriller) and is being staged by Theatre Broad and is touring Scotland April and May. Tickets via the Theatre Royal or the Midsteeple.

Also on the theatre agenda (and showing something of a trend on this weeks commonty) on Friday 31st May, 7.30pm in Dundrennan Village Hall as part of the D&G Arts Festival, there will be a performance of Alan Bisset’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe show, ‘The Red Hourglass’. Described as a dark, witty, sexy satire (is Dundrennan quite ready for this?), it has had rave reviews from the Scotsman and Independent, and a health warning that it contains strong language and adult themes. It sounds terrific. Tickets from the DG Arts Festival or the Midsteeple.
