Walking the Tide

In one month's time - on the 1st of September, Florencia García Chafuén & Jo Hodges will be creating and leading Walking the Tide, a spectacular participatory performance event marks the tide and celebrates community and coast. A choreographed procession from Kippford across the causeway to Rough Island featuring music (song maker and choir director Alison Burns and musicians Marion Kenny, and Anders Rigg and band), movement and colour, all are welcome and no performance experience is necessary but you need to book for numbers on the eventbrite page here
Once at the island, there will be music, song and a chance to explore the island. Participants will then process back to the mainland before the tide returns to cover the causeway.
The project is a Making the Most of the Coast commission by the Solway Firth Partnership and is also part of the EAFS weekend.
