A day out to... Falkirk?


If you find yourself in the Falkirk area over the next couple of months, a new exhibition by Glasgow-based Alex Frost is due to open at the end of November, or abandon the pre-Christmas shop and head there directly for the opening preview on the 30th.


Self-defence and other hobbies
An exhibition of sculptures and drawings for Callendar House.

30th November 2013 - 25th January 2014.

Preview: Saturday 30th November from 1pm - 2pm.
(The gallery will be open till 4pm).

The gallery is within Callendar House - a 600 year old mansion that also houses Falkirk's local history museum.
Callendar Park hosts an Arboretum, Ornamental Gardens and a family Mausoleum (the swan pedalos and crazy golf will not be open - they're seasonal).

The gallery opening times are 10am – 5pm, Monday - Saturday (last admission to the house is 4pm).

Trains leave from Glasgow Queen Street on the hour and every 15 mins on the Saturday and take 20 mins.
