Scottish Book Week - Literary events across D&G

From Vivien Jones

It's only a little over a week until Scottish Book Week when there are many FREE literary riches for the folk of Dumfries and Galloway - the ones I'm involved with are :
Monday 25th - 'Skylines' launch of Powfoot Writers' illustrated anthology at 7.30 pm at the Powfoot Golf Hotel - FREE

Tuesday 26th - 'CW10' launch of Crichton Writers 10th anniversary anthology at 6.00 pm Georgetown Library,Dumfries FREE

Wednesday 27th - 'Southlight 14' reading in Moffat Town Hall. 5.00 - 6.30 pm FREE

Thursday 28th/Friday 29th - POP-UP Bookshop at The Stove in Dumfries - published local writers offering their books for sale, punctuated by salon sessions and brief readings. Great opportunity to buy stocking fillers. FREE.
Do hope to see friends at many of these but see the local paper for lots more. Dumfries and Galloway has a throughly flourishing literary culture, growing all the time.

Writing is the most accessible art, you just need a pencil and a notepad. Be part of it.

Other events in Lockerbie, Stranraer, Newton Stewart and Kirkcudbright are all listed on the Scottish Book week website here
