Mural Painting Workshops

Hi, here is a link to mural painting workshops happening at Gracefield on 8 March. There are very limited spaces. This is happening as part of Spring Fling Rural Mural (SFRM) our mural painting collaboration between Spring Fling (visual artists) and Recoat (street artists).

The FREE Workshops
There are two workshops happening on the day - one AM and one PM. The workshops are FREE to attend but places are very limited (only 10 spaces in the morning and 10 in the afternoon - and a number of places are already booked) so if you would like to attend we'd recommend moving quickly. You can register by clicking the AM or PM link below and filling out your details. It is first come first served.
As part of the project, Recoat (Amy Whiten & Ali Wyllie) will lead four workshops over two days.
Workshop Format - A session where local residents can come together to explore the mural themes and content to feedback to the professional artists who will paint large-scale murals across the region. Learn the process of planning a large-scale painting and paint using mural techniques and materials on boards you can take away with you. The theme of the murals is 'HOME', so if you have stories, sketches, drawings, photos, songs, poems, or ideas relating to this please bring them along.
The workshops are for everyone in the community over the age of 12 (due to the use of spraypaint). Please wear old warm clothes that you can paint outdoors in. If you know someone who may be interested then please forward on this information.
We are going to be running another two workshops in Stranraer around the same weekend - the date is still TBC however we are hoping that it will happen on Friday 7 March (afternoon and evening).
