Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival is recruiting!


Programme Coordinator and Learning & Participation Coordinator roles for 2014.Now in its tenth year, Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival will return 17th – 21st September to once again transform the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed into one big screen through film premieres, site-specific installations and live events.

Two contracts are currently up for grabs with the Festival, both starting around mid-end May, and finishing end September – both will be key players in producing the 10th anniversary edition.

Programme Coordinator - £2,750 fee
The Festival is offering the opportunity for an early career freelancer to join the team to provide essential programme administration, guest services and events coordination. This contract requires someone who is happy in an admin-based office position, but equally comfortable in a fast-paced events environment. Organisational and communication skills, as well as good initiative and a passion for film, visual arts and events are key for this role.

Learning & Participation Coordinator - £2,750 fee
The Festival is also offering the opportunity for a film/arts education coordinator to join the team to deliver the Festival’s youth programme and to increase opportunities for learning and participation. This contract requires someone with experience of working with children and young people, with good project coordination skills, and a passion for film and arts education.
