JUMPCUT - Young Filmmakers Opportunity

JUMPCUT invites new and aspiring writers to submit their short screenplays for the chance to see their script progress from page to screen. Long listed scripts will be invited to an intensive workshop day with industry professionals, and the final short listed scripts will receive professional script development and editing before one is selected to be made by their 2014 Summer Production Company. 
Deadline for submissions:  Friday 23rd May 2014 
The rules: 
1. Writer must be based in Scotland 
2. 10 pages maximum 
3. Must include interior scenes 
4. No more than 3 main characters 
5. Story or characters must be relevant to young adults

JUMPCUT provides opportunities in the screen industries to young people aged 16-25 living in Scotland. Initiated by Sigma Films and Film City Glasgow, JUMPCUT commends innovative approaches to all aspects of screen production. It’s vision is to help establish and develop new generations of skilled professionals which will ensure Scotland’s continuing growth and evolution in the screen industries.
