Silvy Weatherall @ Jupiter Artland

Silvy Weatherall
A body of Parts
17 May-20 July
Tin Roof gallery, Jupiter Artland

D&G artist Silvy Weatherall will be showcasing her latest work at the Tin Roof Gallery, Jupiter Artland from 17th May -20 July. Having received the VAACMA award in 2013 from Creative Scotland, D&G Council and the Borders Council to pursue her artistic development Silvy brings a new dimension to previously seen works. The artist, from Irongray takes inspiration from her fear of waste. She uses the by-products of her husband's game dealing business, found bones, skulls and road kill and transforms them into objects of desire. A veritable museum of curiosities , Silvy's ‘deconstructed taxidermy’ work is reminiscent of decorative arts from a by-gone era.
