Cinema Tweed at the Berwick Film Festival

And a quick one for the weekend, if you need your spirits raising and/or to get out of the house for a bit, then make the trip across to Berwick for the 10th Berwick Film and Media Arts Festival which kicked off on Wednesday but runs through the weekend.

Of course, we also reccomend you visit D&G filmmaker John Wallace's new work Cinema Tweed, and who will also be giving an artist talk as part of the festival programme on Saturday 20th September.

New Commission | World Premiere
An audio-visual study of human links to the ecosystems of two rivers that mark the English-Scottish Border, weaving archive and contemporary footage of those who live, work, and play along their banks. Presented in a former ice house on the north bank of the Tweed, this eight screen installation responds to environmental changes through live sensor feeds.

Join us for a talk by the artists behind three installations as part of the Festival this year, each installed in different ice house around Berwick, and each exploring the Border Crossing theme:

This talk will be chaired by Maggie Ellis, Head of Artists' Moving Image at Film London.

Chair Maggie Ellis is Head of Artists' Moving Image at Film London, leading on Film London’s Artists’ Moving Image Network (FLAMIN), the prestigious Jarman award, and FLAMIN productions, the commissioning fund behind the award-winning Two Years At Sea directed by Ben Rivers andWest Hinder by Elizabeth Price, part of the exhibition which won her last year's Turner Prize.
