Bea Last to represent D&G on the VACMA awards panel

Bea Last is taking up the role of DG Unlimited representative on the Visual Artists and Makers Award Scheme selection panel.
The scheme, which brings together Creative Scotland, local authorities and arts organisations, makes grants of between £500 and £1,500 and will help artists and makers develop their practice. After her appointment Bea said: ''I have received so much support myself in the past that I look forward to giving some of my experience and knowledge back into our community.''


Panel members have been chosen for their:
• depth of experience in a visual arts practice
• knowledge of range of visual arts practice
• understanding of the Visual Artists and Makers Award Scheme.
Bea had all the qualifications needed, and more.

She has been based in Dumfries & Galloway for 19 years and is a practicing professional visual artist who has exhibited widely across the UK and abroad, with works held both in the private and corporate sector. Recent commissions have included ‘The British Art Project’ Corinthia Hotel London W1. & ‘The Dokkae Project’, Jeddah. In 2013, she had a solo show at The linenhall Art Centre, Ireland & more recently work being shown at ‘ArtExpo N.Y’ and ‘Spectrum Miami’ 2014.
