Be part of history with Scene 1 Take 1 @ Southerness

SCENE1TAKE1 (Dumfries Youth Film Making Club) is going to be lighting up Southerness
Lighthouse for the first time in 82 years

We are going to do this on Saturday November the 3rd as part of a one day community  film shoot. We require many volunteers and experts to make this happen, we need those with generators to come forward and contact us, we need up to 100 sets of outdoor christmas lights (this can be lent to us and returned) we will need electricians to help us with connections from 100 odd plugs to however many generators we can get. We also need old car batteries for props, corrugated metal sheeting, petrol drums, large tinned food empty or open, fishing nets, rods, lobster pots and similar.

Foods/Catering donations for the days filming would be gratefully received..... maybe you have a spare case of short dated cola or pot noodles or tea and coffee etc.... maybe some cupcakes etc....

We will not turn away any offer of help, if you are a professional film maker and you want to help then also contact us, maybe a crew member, a student of film, maybe a person who just wants to come and see the Lighthouse lite up..... everyone is welcome.

The aim for the film shoot is to build a small makeshift shack at the base of the lighthouse for daytime filming, then we need all hands on deck for the films key scene the lighting of the lighthouse...... this will involve 4 film crews, multiple actors in multiple places (cast already chosen)....

The group would love a helicoptor shot of the lit Lighthouse too
This is a Christmas film.... made in and around Dumfries by 10 to 18 years olds....... your support is welcome in any manor at all

With thanks to the Robertson family who own the Lighthouse.
