Goldsworthy pictures wanted

A RARE opportunity for amateur photographers to have their images displayed alongside one of the world’s most well-known artists comes to Dumfries next month.

Gracefield Art Centre will present a selection of Andy Goldsworthy’s early photographic works for a special Autumn/Winter exhibition.To complement the main exhibition, the arts centre is inviting members of the public to submit up to three images of Andy Goldsworthy sculptural work located in Dumfries and Galloway.

This could be a picture of the Penpont Millennium Cone, Striding Arches or the Gracefield Sandstone cones.Images will be chosen to show with the exhibition.The best image will win a copy of the latest book on Andy’s latest work The Andy Goldsworthy Project published in 2010 by Dr Tina Fiske and Molly Donovan.




Prints should be sent (on paper, no larger than 6”x4”) to Gracefield Art Centre, 28 Edinburgh Road, Dumfries, or email high-quality digital images to dawn.henderby@dumgal.gov.uk by Friday, September 23.
Please clearly state your name, address and telephone number on your email or the back of the prints. All prints will be returned to their author at the end of the exhibition period.
