from Sally Hinchcliffe
Hard to believe it, but Fankle issue 8 is out already. It was with
some trepidation that we announced a theme of 'sex and drugs and bacon
rolls' but it turns out that the imagination of Dumfries and Galloway
writers turns mostly towards bacon rolls. At only 50p (did we mention
it was still just 50p?) it represents the best value literary
publication we know - and this issue won't disappoint being full of
work that's funny and clever and just a little bit dark to boot.
Settle yourself down with a cup of tea, a bacon roll, and a Fankle and
enjoy.

You can get hold of your copy at main libraries across the region, as
well as Gracefield Arts Centre, Thomas Tosh, the Green Tea rooms, and
many other outlets around the county. Check out our website
(http://thefankle.net) for more details.
And if you've been inspired by what you read, we're open to
submissions from anyone across the region. The theme for the next
issue will be 'down the drain', appropriately enough given the
weather. Details on how to submit are
here:http://thefankle.net/
