The latest issue of the Fankle is out now! This time we chose the
theme 'down the drain' and the regions poets and writers have
responded with something of a weather-related issue, unsurprisingly.
But it's not ALL rain going down the drain - there's money, soap,
flowers, sh*t, and a couple of rather unfortunate goldfish. Find out

The Fankle is Dumfries and Galloway's (possibly the world's) only
origami literary magazine - and almost definitely its cheapest at a
recession-busting 50p. We feature fresh short pieces, poetry and
prose, from both new and established writers and we're open to
submission from anyone living in the region. You can get hold of it in
a number of outlets across the county, including most of the
libraries, Thomas Tosh, Gracefield Arts Centre, A' the Airts, the
Green Tea Room and more. And if you fancy giving it a go, the next
theme will be somewhat more cheerful - send us your poems or flash
fiction on the theme of The Great Escape by 29th February. Submission
