Seeing Under the Ground

From Giles Carey

Hi Commonty

Valentina Bold has suggested I drop you a line to let you know about a new project starting up in the region which may be of interest to readers of the Commonty. This is a community archaeology project based around the use of archaeological geophysics - it's a great way to find out about what archaeology is buried near you, and it's good fun too!

We are in the process of setting up a blog and Facebook page for the project - details are below. We have a survey coming up at Birrens Roman Fort, near Middlebie. There is an Open Day planned on Saturday 7th July - where you can come and see a small display, and there is a chance to see archaeology in action, and the emerging results.
