Rosemary Gascoyne's work features in Castle Douglas Gallery

A new show opening in the Castle Douglas Gallery, celebrating the life's work of Rosemary Gascoyne. The exhibition will run from the 4th to 14th of April, 11am to 5pm daily.

'Rosemary Gascoyne, painter and interior designer, died aged 82 in August 2012. A popular figure and important member of the Dumfries and Galloway art community, her work features in collections and exhibitions across Britain. This show includes many fine
pieces from the last fifteen years. Key to her style was her understanding and awareness of colour and form. Her paintings are broadly abstract but nature, the landscape and still-life were her sources of inspiration and you can see the rhythms and patterns of these
phenomena underlying her work. The exhibition is a celebration of her artistic career and a unique opportunity to see the extent and range of her practice.'
