On the road with the Fresh Start Crew

From Fresh Start for the Arts

The Fresh Start team were back at The Stove this week for an evening session discussing ideas for future arts structure. Peter and Kathleen were once again pleased to welcome so many practicing artists among the group. It was a really stimulating meeting which generated plenty of valuable ideas.

And for those who have been unable to make it along to any of the meetings but are keen to find out more – don’t despair. Discussions will be ongoing and Kathleen is happy to meet people on an individual basis. We’ll be organising and advertising dates in the near future.
Kathleen's travels around the region promise to reach legendary status - don't worry...she is on her way
We have already had some good responses to the joint Fresh Start and CABN project to map D&G musicians and performing artists. But there’s so much out there and we’d like to capture a lot more. So, if you are involved in either of these fields and haven’t filled in one of our simple forms, please get in touch and we’ll send one over. We do appreciate that there’s some questionnaire fatigue, but we really hope this is a project that will bring benefits for all.
Finally, sculptor Lucianne Lassalle asked us to give a mention to a potential opportunity at Threave Castle Gardens, near Castle Douglas. She has been in touch with the head gardener who is keen to have more local work in their sculpture garden.
If you are interested get in touch with Lucianne at contact@luciannelassalle.co.uk.

If you would like further information about anything connected with Fresh Start please email Matthew Shelley at info@matthewshelley.net or call 07786 704299.
