EAFS is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership
with the Fresh Start for the Arts Initiative for Dumfries and Galloway.
Fresh Start is providing some financial support for the Area
Arts Hubs to take part in EAFS 2013. This is all part of the Fresh Start
commission to creatively support the emerging new arts-led structure for
delivering the arts in the region.
This partnership is helping EAFS to realise its ambition of achieving
as much participation in the festival right across the length and breadth of
Dumfries and Galloway. Also we are now able to extend the timeline of EAFS
beyond the initial opening weekend to include special events throughout the
Autumn.
We have begun negotiations with the Area Arts Hubs – and have
started with the lists of ‘expressions of interest’ and ‘proposals’ already
received by EAFS from practitioners and organisations in the different Hub
areas.
It is fantastic that there is so much interest and
anticipation around the EAFS project – we hope that programming information etc
will be available from mid June. In the meantime watch The Commonty for
updates.
The opening weekend of Environmental Art Festival Scotland
is 30th August to 2nd Sept
