The Henkeeper's Almanac - Jean Atkin and Pamela Grace @ Gracefield

The Henkeeper’s Almanac launched at Gracefield Arts Centre, Dumfries

Poet Jean Atkin and artist Pamela Grace have been working together to create ‘The Henkeeper’s Almanac’, a project to record a decade of henkeeping on a Dumfriesshire smallholding.  ‘The Henkeeper’s Almanac’ is exhibited at Gracefield Arts Centre Café from Tuesday 4 June to Saturday 13 July.
The exhibition consists of Pamela Grace’s beautiful paintings and prints of a flock of hens on Jean’s smallholding, and Jean Atkin’s poetry, published as an artists’ book.  The book contains a poem and a painting for each month of the year.
Jean Atkin and Pamela Grace invite you to a launch party for ‘The Henkeeper’s Almanac’ on Tuesday 4 June at 7pm at Gracefield Arts Centre, Edinburgh Road, Dumfries DG1 1JQ. There will be an artist’s talk, poetry reading, friendly conversation and a glass of wine.  Everyone welcome!
