The Nail Factory will be hosting a free buffet Sunday 28th July at 1pm to mark the end of an important retrospective for The Nail Factory. The exhibition dealt with the political issues behind art , the work of Hannah Frank, a Russian Jewish immigrant and Dennis Banks , an activist for the American Indian Movement. The buffet will be followed by a short film entitled "The Spark Divine"about Hannah Frank and then at 4pm a film about Dennis Banks.
Please phone Rupinder (Tel: 01556 611686. Email: info@nailfactory.org.uk) to make a booking for the free buffet provided by the Scottish Council of Jewish Communities and The Nail Factory. It is a pity that the exhibition was not attended by by the movers and shakers in Dumfries and Galloway,( invites were sent) to bring the exhibition to a wider audience worthy of Hannah's talent. Hannah was still sculpting at the age of 90!
Some exhibitions can invoke viewers to delve beyond the image - so be sure to take the opportunity to catch it before it closes!
We've also enclosed a news clipping from DG Life featuring the exhibition:
