Dumfries’ biggest community singing group are on the road again.
This
weekend Dumfries Community Choir have been invited to perform in
Lockerbie’s Jazz Festival where they shall be once again entertaining
the masses with their own unique arrangements of some well known anthems
which have already rocked the region at this year’s sell out Wickerman
Festival.
Dumfries Community Choir will be performing in Lockerbie Town Hall at 12pm on Saturday the 28th
of September and will add to the already impressive line up which
includes Blues and soul singer, Ruby Turner, and Kyle Eastwood, son of
Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood. The Choir also be appearing at
Edinburgh Castle on Tuesday night to sing in a prestigious ceremony which celebrates volunteers in Scotland.
Part
of Electric Theatre Workshop, the choir now boasts over one hundred
people taking part in the biggest singing group in South Scotland. It is
part of the programme of activities that run from the Munches Street
building which boasts activity for all the family, seven days a week.
Dumfries Community Choir will be playing at 12 noon in Lockerbie Town Hall, as part of the Festival which runs until Sunday.
