Musicians Wanted

From Margaret Riches

I have been recommended to contact The Commonty because (on behalf of a local organisation) I am in the preliminary stages of planning a medieval banquet.  If it is decided it will go ahead, the Medieval Banquet will take place in the Penrith area during October 2015.

It would be good to have ‘live music’ at this event which will be in keeping with the medieval theme. I thought this opportunity might be of interest to experienced musicians and/or students.
Anyone interested should contact me at this E mail address : mr4cnr@gmail.com

It would be helpful to have an indication of:
-the type of songs/ music that could be offered
- the fee and any other expenses that would need to be met.

Secondly, my husband and I are planning a family celebration which will be held at a hotel in Dumfries and Galloway ( in the Kirkbean area) on Wed. 16th July 2015.

We are looking for a piano trio (but not including a singer) who could provide an early evening  concert of light classical music about an hour in length. (N.B. The audience for this event would probably not appreciate ‘medieval music!!)
As above, more experienced musicians/ music students would be considered.

Again, it would be helpful to have an indication of:
-the type of songs/ music that could be offered
- the fee and any other expenses that would need to be met.

I look forward to hearing from anyone interested in providing an in-put to either/both of these events.
