Janice Galloway is the author of eight books of prize-winning prose. Her first novel, The Trick is to keep Breathing, was published in 1990 and won the MIND/Allan Lane Book of the Year. Her second novel, Foreign Parts, won the McVitie’s Prize and American Academy of Arts and Letters Award in 1994 while her third, Clara, about the pianist Clara Wieck Schumann, won the Saltire in 2002. Collaborative texts include Monster with Sally Beamish and Rosengarten sculptor Anne Bevan. This is not about Me was SAC non- fiction Book of the Year 2009 and was listed for the Biography Society’s First Biography Award. Her latest book, All Made Up, was published in September 2011.
