Northern Lights @ Burns Film Centre

'We Are Northern Lights is Scotland’s first mass participation, feature length documentary, made up of clips submitted from the general public. There is banter and blether, bike rides and booze, the mundane and the magnificent, beautiful landscapes that take your breath away and ideas that fill you with pride and hope for the future.

This is a chance to re-discover Scotland through the eyes and thoughts of the people who live here.'

The Northern Lights Project comes at a time when Scotland stands poised to take the most momentous decision in its history. At a time when the country is asking: “who are we?” the film seeks to answer that question by letting the Scots speak for themselves.

We are Northern Lights will be hitting Dumfropolis Monday 25th March 6.30pm at the Robert Burns Centre Film Theatre, Mill Road, Dumfries, DG2 7BE. UK, 2013, 94mins, 12A, English and Gaelic with subtitles. Directors: Nick Higgins and 121 others. This will be followed by Q and A with director Nick Higgins.
