Voluntary Arts Scotland seeks applications for new Advisory Group

Voluntary Arts Scotland is planning for the future – and we’re looking for committed, creative people to be a part of it. We’re currently recruiting new Advisory Group members and we are looking for people who are passionate about amateur arts and crafts, with expertise and experience members who are passionate about amateur arts and crafts, with expertise and experience in any of the following areas:
• Fundraising
• Marketing
• Digital technology
• Event management
• Multicultural engagement
• Voluntary Sector
and/or knowledge and influence in:
• Professional arts and crafts
• Education
• Local Authorities. 

Voluntary Arts Scotland is part of Voluntary Arts, the UK and Ireland development agency for amateur arts and crafts groups. Our office is located in Edinburgh and we work across Scotland, actively engaging with local arts and crafts groups, art-form umbrella bodies, voluntary sector agencies, local and national government.

The Voluntary Arts Scotland Advisory Group meets four times a year, in various locations around Scotland. The optimum size of the Group is twelve, and the Chair of the Advisory Group represents Scotland on the Voluntary Arts Board. This is a voluntary position, but all reasonable expenses will be met.

This is an exciting time for Voluntary Arts, as we develop our strategic plan for 2014 - 2017, and consider how we can best represent and support the amateur arts sector of the future. For more information about Voluntary Arts Scotland, visit our website
